Please, some sanity

I may be a little scarce this week. My final for my cost accounting class is due this week. I am stressing about it as usual, since I have not even started it yet. I swear, I do not know why I do this to myself, every time, I wait until the last minute and then freak out about it until I finish it. Thank God this is my last class to complete my associates degree. I will have new classes start in January toward the bachelors degree, but after Sunday, I will have completed the associates degree. I can barely believe it. For me, it feels like a huge accomplishment. I just have to get through this final.

Let me start my comment on the following note: A friend of mine from cheshire in England did it with 3 kids. A 14 year old, a 6 year old and a baby (birth during the final year of her psychology degree). She obtained a first class (equivalent of this in the US is possibly the Summa_cum_laude) and is now a university lecturer.

I believe you can and will do it.

About leaving things until the last minute, perhaps that's the way it works for you. I wouldnt suggest to you to change your technique. But I would suggest that you please focus on the associates degree. Forget about the Bachelors for now. Also, try to focus on getting a prize for the associates. This way even if you dont get a prize, you will fall within the 90% range. You can do it. Please.

Just wait for the relief and confidence boost at the end of your studies. Graduation day and the thought that you were able to do it and the strange feeling - as though something had been in your eyes obstructing your views.

And the inspiration to the children. ! You will be over the moon, believe me. You will be so glad you thread the path.

I would like to continue encouraging you...I am standing behind you and wishing you all the best in your cost accounting due this week. You can do it...go go go

Thank you so much for your support. It is hard for me to see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes. But I do hope that what I am doing will be inspiration to my kids. They see me doing homework with them and how hard it is sometimes. I will be the only one of my siblings that have any type of degree.
Again, thank you so much for the support. It really means more than you know.

congratulations!

you are a wonderful example for your kids. they will see in you that most good thing can be accomplished if one sets her mind to it.

i got my RN after my kids were grown...and people would wonder wny i was in school when i was in my mid-40s...they'd say, "god, you'll be almost 50 by the time you graduate!"

and i would tell them, "i'm gonna be 50, anyway...so why not be 50 with an RN."

Thank you catnapping. I am hoping that my kids do see that they can accomplish great things. I also hope that they see why it is important to get a higher education. Congrats as well on the RN. That is awesome!
